Do DIY Facials Really Work?

During the lockdown, taking care of my skin completely fell on me. It was goodbye to beauty parlors and spas. So, one day when I was really in the mood for some skin pampering, I came across a DIY facial routine. The first thing that popped my mind was if they actually work because they are extremely easy and also inexpensive because all the ingredients you require are generally available in your kitchen.

So, with trusted Google by my side, I did some quick research. Since these facials have been around for thousands of years, even before spas and salons came into existence, it must mean they are useful when done right. Also, these are chemical-free, which means you won’t harm your skin.

The key here is to curate the right set of ingredients that work for your skin. To do that, first, identify your skin type and then go from there. Now, on the internet, you will find a plethora of recipes where one says egg whites with lemon will do wonders while the other says something else. But the problem here is not everything that might suit you. So, always proceed with caution because ladies, when done right, DIY facials are exceptional for your skin when used the right ingredients.

So, how can you check what suits you and what doesn’t? Always do a patch test on a small area of your skin. Some of the most popular ingredients for DIY facial include;
